We spent hour listening to both. I still cant get enough of either! The Stones have a knack of being able to re-invent themselves in order to keep up with the times although I have not been a fan of much past Emotional Rescue. After that Lennon's output wasn't as consistently inspired, although he certainly had his moments. Proof that coming up with 12 songs per album by yourself is a lot harder than coming up with three or four with a band like The Beatles (and a producer like George Martin) to help you. Plastic Ono Band was incredible (as were the singles John was releasing at the time), and Imagine was nearly as good.
