Jazzy, edgy, Icelandic – The Perfect New Years Eve album (and probably my favorite Björk lp).
I got all of the funny characters right in the header, you’ll have to imagine them in the song titles because I can’t spend two hours on one post and I’ve still got to shop for a lampshade.

The Twin Peaks Theme is (I think) unlike any other TV theme I’ve ever heard. Lush orchestration, Duane Eddy guitar, lots of French Horn, maybe a Fender Rhodes Piano… I really don’t know what’s in it, but it’s just beautiful. Even when the show started to drift I still tuned in just to hear the music, and if you’ve never heard anything but the theme you’re in for a real treat.
Angelo Badalamenti has a certain groove that no one else has – this is warm, foreboding, weirdly swinging, playful music that should be listened to on shuffle, at night, for hours on end.
