There are two kinds of live albums: placeholders and non-placeholders. This one is in the latter category. Lots of great stories, and some good, smoke-drenched music. It’s a really fun album, and it made it seem OK to call myself up when I was alone (I now call myself up even when I’m NOT alone).
I assume Big Joe had the first spectral sex change, and it landed him/her a role in a Pee Wee Herman movie.

There are all sorts of Christmas albums. I’ve never heard one more appropriate to listen to on Christmas eve when all of the presents are wrapped and under the tree, fire in the fireplace (real or imagined) blazing, snow on the ground, Santa in the sky. A Christmas sigh of relief, courtesy of a true artist.
