It’s King Crimson… add Formentera Lady to the list of essentials, but this is one album I won’t miss.
When it came out they were interviewed on a radio station in Montreal, and what I remember most about it was that they kept on playing cuts from the album that I didn’t like and (worse) they made fun of Pete Sinfield on the air, sneering “Oooh… he wrote the WORDS.” Not a good first impression – probably too much to overcome.
I don’t generally like songs about groupies or the road either as long as we’re at it, and “Ladies of the Road” is a double shot of keep it to yourself.

I’m listing them ’cause it’s my job, but this is one of those albums that’s not about keepers. If you’re in the mood, there might not be a better album ever made. Great songs, great arrangements, and a voice that can melt the hardest of hearts… what’s not to like?
