Here’s the deal on this record: if you find it, good for you but DON”T LISTEN TO IT. I’ve believed for years that Emmylou Harris is one of great artists of our time, and hearing this actually made me wonder if I might be wrong. Harris’ voice is not what it would ultimately become – it certainly sounds like her, but it’s often off-key and her phrasing is just… weird. From what I’ve read, Emmylou herself doesn’t much like it, either. I’ve gotten over the shock of hearing this, but you might not – don’t take the chance.
