The vocal arrangements on this record are just outstanding, probably due to the presence of Curt Boettcher – a guy who would be responsible for nearly as much ear candy as Brian Wilson for the next decade or so. Part of what makes this record so much fun to listen to is the e-nun-ci-a-tion of every syllable, and if you listen closely you can actually hear the apostrophe on words like ramblin’.

I’m going to cheat on some of these album-a-day posts, especially the British Invasion stuff. The first Rolling Stones album had different tracks on it depending on where you bought it, so I’m not sure if the four keepers you see below ever showed up on the same disc.
